This three-year dual degree program is offered with Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. The MPP/Master of Environmental Management (MEM) or Master of Forestry (MF) gives students a strong background in environmental science plus the policy analysis and public management skills to translate science into policy.

Jeff Jensen MPP/MEM ‘07

"The interdisciplinary approach I experienced while at Sanford has been invaluable for my career and helped me become more of a generalist while also maintaining strong subject-matter expertise in environmental issues, where my interest lies. Sanford also enthusiastically supports joint-degree students and encourages them to voice their issue-specific knowledge gained from non-policy classes in the classroom."

Jeff Jensen is Vice President at Keybridge.

These programs have a blended tuition rate. Sanford scholarship awards will be applied in all dual degree academic years that have a blended tuition rate charge and will only pay towards Sanford’s share of the tuition per term. You must maintain good academic standing. We reserve the right to amend tuition fellowship awards if you receive other funding or change degree programs.

Please see our cost of attendance page for more information on dual degree program blended tuition rates.

Please note that separate applications are required for dual degree programs. Applications for the MEM and MF programs are available on the Nicholas School website. For application procedures on the MPP program, please refer to the MPP admissions page.
