Del-Francis Wreh is from Liberia. He worked in finance there for a project that ensures that the national budget is made available to promote transparency and accountability. “It was hard at first, when I came to Duke. I had to adapt to everything: the language, the environment and the weather! Our weather is not as cold as the U.S. in the winter. It was hard”.

After he presented his master’s project, he received a dual certification in international tax policy and public finance management. He returned to Liberia to focus on monitoring and tracking the performance of Liberia’s vision 2030 developmental agenda. That’s a vision geared toward alleviating extreme poverty and creating a middle income class in Liberia.

Del-Francis currently works as the Executive Director at Liberia Macroeconomic Policy Analysis Center (LIMPAC)
