August Mao MPP’16 leads the Campus Operations Portfolio and serves as the head liaison to the White House Operations Team in Washington, D.C. He is a leader in both the highest levels of government and within the Sanford alumni community.

The additional gift to the Klane/Nyquist Family Endowment Scholarship from Polly and Larry Klane in 2024 will support Duke undergraduate students majoring in public policy. Duke’s Centennial Challenge match will amplify its impact.
