2026 Duke Sanford Graduates: Christian Chung

Chung is one of six Sanford winners of the Forever Duke Student Leadership Award. The honor recognizes graduating students who are strong advocates for the Duke community, who embody Duke’s guiding principle of knowledge in the service of society, and who are leaving Duke a better place than they found it.

"This recognition means more to me than I can easily put into words, not only because of the award itself, but because of what it represents — community, service, enrichment, and the invaluable gift of learning alongside people whose brilliance, courage, and generosity have made a lasting impact on my life,” Chung said. "My time at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy has stretched me, humbled me, and reminded me that leadership is not measured by title or applause, but by how faithfully we show up for one another and by our willingness to deepen and evolve our understanding of success with intention."
