Communication and Events Coordinator
Sarah Hay serves as the Communications and Events Coordinator for the Sanford School of Public Policy, planning and organizing major events, developing marketing and publicity plans, and serving as a resource for the coordination of all events at Sanford. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of event-focused roles, spending time in the hospitality, small business, pharmaceutical, and academic fields. Most recently, Sarah served as the off-campus Events Coordinator for Admissions in the Fuqua School of Business, planning recruitment and yield events.
A native of Davidson, NC, Sarah holds a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from Davidson College. She is president of Duke’s Special Event Planners Council (SEPC) where she enjoys connecting with the Duke event planning community and creating a space for continued education. In 2022, Sarah earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification through the Industry Events Council. Sarah happily resides in Durham and loves to spend her spare time staying on top of the local culinary scene, traveling, cultivating her innumerable plants, and stopping by every Free Little Library she sees.
