Project Coordinator, Duke Center for Child and Family Policy

Rojalyn Phillips joined the Center for Child and Family Policy as a project coordinator and ITTI Care project coach in September 2024. She is a dedicated professional in early childhood education. Phillips served as an accreditation observer for the National Association for Family Child Care, a CDA professional development specialist for the Council for Professional Recognition, and a certified CLASS observer.

Phillips has demonstrated her leadership skills by leading a team of consultants for Child Care Aware of America, where she worked closely with sites around Fort Bragg as part of the Army Child Care in Your Neighborhood program. Her efforts have significantly contributed to elevating the quality of these programs to meet national accreditation standards.

As a presenter at North Carolina’s Smart Start conference and the NC Association for the Education of Young Children conference, she shared insights on the effectiveness of technical assistance in childcare programs.

Phillips is known for her dynamic training on a range of topics, with a special focus on science, nature, and math in early childhood education.
