Director of MIDP Admissions
Originally from Colorado, Olivia was lucky enough to grow up traveling internationally and spent her formative years living in Sydney, Australia, sparking an interest in international education and cultures at an early age.
A proud former Blue Devil, Olivia ran track and field and cross country as an undergraduate at Duke, earning All-American honors. She obtained dual degrees in Romance Studies (French & Spanish languages), and International Comparative Studies, which set the foundation for her keen interest in global affairs. Olivia pursued a master's degree in European history at Butler University, continuing to compete as a student-athlete, and completing her thesis on global governance with a desire to better understand complex geopolitical issues—and to explore potential solutions.
Most recently, Olivia was the Associate Director of Admission at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), overseeing a team responsible for recruitment and enrollment for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Canada. She traveled to 15-20 countries annually, spending 70% of the year in Europe, including summers at the institution's French campus in Provence. This allowed her to further hone in on her cross-cultural communication skills while satisfying her love of croissants.
Outside of work, Olivia feeds her competitive spirit by playing tennis and remains a devoted Duke basketball fan.
