Senior Public Relations Manager
Nicole Filippo joins Sanford's communications team after serving as the communications director for the Duke Center for International Development (DCID).
Prior to joining Duke, she led communications, marketing, and events at Elon University’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Additionally, she supported students as an academic advisor, new student seminar instructor, and co-advisor for the university's chapter of the American Marketing Association.
Earlier in her career, Nicole held roles in education and meeting planning for the National Home Furnishings Association and in marketing for the High Point Market Authority's Press Center.
Nicole is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and serves as the immediate past president of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Carolinas Chapter. She is also a past board member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Triangle chapter.
Nicole earned a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications and an MBA from Elon University.
