Director of Financial & Institutional Effectiveness
Mingli Yang joined the School of Public Policy as the Director of Financial & Institutional Effectiveness in 2022. Prior to joining Sanford, she spent 5+ years at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (Institutional Research and Budget) and 2+ years at Gannon University (Institutional Research).
Her institutional research work included annual program evaluation, program accreditation, completion state & federal reports, and guidebook surveys; provided support for the university enrollment management function which included enrollment projections and modeling, marketing profiles, historical trends, environmental scans, and retention and graduation rate analysis; built Tableau dashboards. She performed both fiscal and statistical analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making, such as revenue and scholarship projections, fee price adjustment analysis, new curriculum cost-benefit analysis, program and course break-even analysis, etc.
Mingli holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in human factors psychology from University of South Dakota.
