Research Data Tech II
Lily Bermudez serves as a Research Data Technician for Duke University's Deep Tech Program, supporting quantum computing initiatives. As a Duke-Intel Fellow, she completed a 10-week residency in Brussels examining semiconductor and quantum technology policies across Europe and the United States, culminating in her Master's Capstone Project on fostering transatlantic collaboration in quantum and semiconductor technologies.
Prior to her current role, Bermudez was an Independent Researcher with the Center for Humane Technology, investigating encryption within the AI and quantum computing nexus. As a Graduate Research Assistant in Duke's Tech Policy Lab, she contributed to cybersecurity capacity building research and facilitated international conferences. Her collaborative research with the Digi Americas Alliance has been featured in the World Economic Forum, Politico, and Forbes.
Bermudez holds a Master of Arts in Tech Ethics & Science Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
