Program Coordinator, Sanford in DC
Kishanna, the Sanford in DC Program Coordinator, works out of the Duke in DC office supporting the semester-long undergraduate Duke in DC program, and the Sanford School’s broader activities and programming in Washington, DC.
Kishanna is a former public-school teacher and librarian, who has also served as a consultant and curriculum writer for museums, universities and nonprofits.
As a proud graduate of Tuskegee University, earning her undergraduate degree in English, with an additional focus on Language Arts Education, Kishanna pursued graduate studies at The University of Maryland, College Park, focusing on Curriculum and Instruction, and Towson University, focusing on Instructional Technology, School Library Media.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Kishanna is the mother of two wonderful children, who practices as both a student and teacher of yoga.
