Director, North Carolina Education Research Data Center (NCERDC)

Kara Bonneau is the esteemed Director of the North Carolina Education Research Data Center (NCERDC). With a deep understanding of data management, she manages the creation of the NCERDC longitudinal database using data from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and works to provide access to the NCERDC’s considerable data warehouse to researchers across the country and foster valuable collaborations beyond our state. She holds a BA from Middlebury College and a Master's Degree in Sociology from Duke University. Beyond her professional pursuits, Kara finds joy in the great outdoors and is an avid runner and triathlete, having accomplished three Ironman races, a dozen marathons, and numerous shorter events.
