Kaitlin Shartle is an Associate in Research working with Drs. Manoj Mohanan and Joanna "Asia" Maselko on the Survey of Health Trends (SEHAT) and Bachpan projects. In these projects she examines how COVID-related stressors are associated with mental health.
Kaitlin’s research focuses broadly on how social and structural factors impact physical and mental health across the life course. Her recent research has focused on trends of social connectedness (i.e. social isolation, social support) and health by age, period, and birth cohort.
Kaitlin holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as dual-BAs in Communication Arts and Sciences and Sociology from the Pennsylvania State University.
