Outside of her professional work, Kailey enjoys an active lifestyle with her family. She and her husband, Joab, a Senior Lecturer also at Sanford, have four children and two pets (a dog and a cat). Together, they enjoy hiking, playing and coaching soccer, swimming, SCUBA diving, and participating in trail races and ultramarathons. More recently, Kailey has developed a growing passion for martial arts, assisting the UC Riverside boxing team at the 2024 USIBA National Tournament and earning a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
