Executive Director, Duke Center for International Development

Jonathan Abels serves as the chief operating officer for the Duke Center for International Development in the Sanford School of Public Policy. His responsibilities include administrative oversight of the center’s Master of International Development Policy program, the Duke contribution to the Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center, and the Executive Education and overseas advisory and consulting services of the center’s Public Finance Group. In particular he coordinates the preparation of the center’s technical assistance projects and is responsible for the design and management of the center’s new initiatives. He earned a master's degree in history at Duke University before joining DCID.
