Jonathan Abels

Jonathan Abels serves as the chief operating officer for the Duke Center for International Development. His responsibilities include supporting the center’s research projects and overseeing the management of the center’s events, activities, and new initiatives. In this position, he also serves as the managing director of the Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center, which DCID co-hosts with the Office of Vice Provost for Global Affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill. He reports the center director, Edmund Malesky. 

Jon earned a master’s degree from Duke University before joining DCID.
