Visiting Researcher
Jiahui Chen is a visiting researcher for the 2024/10-2026/4 academic period, with sponsorship from the China Scholarship Council. Working with Professor Alexander Pfaff, her research examines the impacts of energy transition on human health well-being, and social equity.
She is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). She holds a bachelor's degree in Beijing Forestry University in economic management of agriculture and forestry. In her prior research, she concentrated on assessing the socioeconomic impacts of energy transition and climate change-related policies, promoting clean energy access and development in developing countries, ensuring energy justice for women and children during the energy transition. Her research interests primarily revolve around the interaction between energy transition, climate change, and socio-economic issues.
