Senior Events Manager, Duke Center for Child & Family Policy

Erika Hanzely-Layko has been planning conferences, meetings and events for the Center for Child and Family Policy since March 2005. She is responsible for all organizational details for the Sulzberger Distinguished Lecture series and Center conferences, guest lectures, and a career series for students interested in child and family policy, among other events. She has over 35 years of experience in event planning, communications, marketing and public relations.

After work she enjoys spending time with her family, reading as much as possible and "yardening." She and her husband recently rehabbed a 1940s Sears kit house in Beaufort, N.C.
