Emily Baqir

Program Coordinator, Center for Child and Family Policy

Emily Baqir joined the Center for Child and Family Policy as a Program Coordinator in July 2026.

Prior, she served as the Communications Manager at Child Trends, where she led social and traditional media efforts on child and family policy and well-being research. Emily was a member of the Duke community from 2018 to 2021 as the Education Program Assistant for the Duke Global Health Institute.

Emily holds an M.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Florida.
