Administrative Intern
De’Zaria Lucas is a Junior at North Carolina Central University from Raleigh, North Carolina, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism. She currently serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Campus Echo, NCCU’s newspaper. In her time at the Campus Echo, she won 2nd place in the best editorial category with the Southern Regional Press Institute (SRPI) for the 2024-25 school year. She also served as the News Editor for the 24-25 school year and has been a part of the staff since March 2024. In the past, De’Zaria was an intern with The Borgen Project’s content team, producing articles and advocating for global issues summer of 2024. She is excited to join the Sandford School of Public Policy this summer because it’s allowing her to succeed and broaden her knowledge in journalism and the public's interest.
