Tom Ross, Terry Sanford Distinguished Fellow and President Emeritus, The University of North Carolina, and Bob Phillips of Common Cause of North Carolina, will convene a day-long independent commission to educate the public on how an independent, impartial redistricting process would work on April 21 at the Sanford School of Public Policy. Topics will include how our state's rapidly changing demography will impact future redistricting and remarks from two of the bi-partisan sponsors of North Carolina's redistricting reform bill currently pending in the State House. The project meeting will take place from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., and then again from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event at the Sanford School of Public Policy is free and open to the public. Visitor parking is available in the Science Drive or Bryan Center Visitor Lots on Duke's West Campus.
