Color of Education

This kickoff to the Color of Education series, featuring William "Sandy" Darity, Samuel DuBois Cook Professor of Public Policy at Duke University, and Keisha Bentley-Edwards, director of the Health Equity Working Group for the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity, will highlight how the racial wealth gap and racial health disparities exacerbate the inability to foster educational equity and opportunity. The Color of Education series continues with events on October 13 (The Impact of COVID-19 on Racial Equity in Education), October 20 (Policing and Schools) and October 27 (Racial (In)Equity in North Carolina Schools). Check the Duke calendar for more information. Color of Education is co-sponsored by the Public School Forum of North Carolina, the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity, and the Duke Center for Child and Family Policy.
