Communications Director, DCID
Tiffany Goetzinger is the communications director for the Sanford School of Public Policy's Duke Center for International Development (DCID). She was previously the deputy director at the Institute for Policy Studies, a policy and research organization based in Washington, D.C. As the deputy director she oversaw the organization's external communications, programs, and strategic planning. Before this, she spent almost a decade as an advocate and organizer on human trafficking and other issues related to migrant women workers in the global economy. She has traveled across the United States and internationally as a trainer and advocate, and has published numerous op-eds and commentaries for public audiences. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from Florida State University, and a master's degree in social work from Columbia University. In 2014, she earned an executive education certificate from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
