Cheryl A. Bailey
Assistant Director, Duke Center for International Development
Cheryl Bailey is responsible for Admissions, Recruiting, and Student Accounts for the Master of International Development Policy Program and for Visiting Scholars in the Duke Center for International Development (DCID). She joined DCID in 2008 as Senior Coordinator of Student and Academic Services, serving in this role until July 2013. Previously she worked with the master’s and Ph.D. students in Duke University’s Department of Economics. She earned her bachelor’s in French and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, her master’s in Liberal Studies from Duke, and her Ph.D. in Humanities from Salve Regina University. She also spent two years with the Peace Corps teaching math in French in the Central African Republic. In her spare time, she loves to read, especially science fiction, and to travel.
