'The Second Trauma': Centering Victims' Stories in Crime Reporting

Join us for a conversation with gun violence survivor Oronde McClain and journalist Prof. Yvonne Latty. We will screen their film, "The Second Trauma", a 28-minute documentary that features Philadelphians impacted by violence and the media coverage of their most painful moments. McClain and Latty will talk with us about how reporters, journalism students and those who consume news can share these stories without inflicting "second trauma". Prof. Barry Yeoman will host.
