Conducting Research in Schools

The School Research Partnership in the Center for Child and Family Policy invites you to hear from school district leaders to to learn more about conducting research in local school settings on Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. in Rhodes Conference Room, Sanford 223. During this panel discussion, research administrators from local school districts will describe their districts' research priorities as well as the process for applying for approval to conduct research in school settings. The director of Duke University's Institutional Review Board will also provide perspective on the process of submitting protocols for research in school settings to Campus IRB. Participants include Amanda Moran of Chatham County Schools, Colleen Paeplow of Wake County Public Schools, Albert Royster of Durham Public Schools, and Holly Williams of Duke University's Institutional Review Board. Leslie Babinski, director of the School Research Partnership at Duke, will moderate the discussion.
