AIDS Activism and Queer Care

Speaker
Dr. Keiko Lane
The History Hub is pleased to be hosting "AIDS Activism and Queer Care," with Dr. Keiko Lane. Dr. Lane is an independent scholar, practicing psychotherapist, ACT UP and Queer Nation/Los Angeles activist, and author of the recent memoir, Blood Loss: A Love Story of AIDS, Activism, and Art, published by Duke University Press. To prepare for her talk, we ask you to read her short article, "Uncovering" (duke.is/uncovering) and if you get particularly excited by her work, you may also want to read her book chapter, "what love is" (duke.is/whatloveis).
This event will occur in the Pink Parlor of the East Duke Building on East Campus.
