 May 26, 2020

Faculty member Stanley Litow is among the appointees advising New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on reopening New York City’s schools. Litow is among the 45 education leaders on the Education Sector Advisory Council, announced in May. The council is one of several informing the administration’s efforts to restart the economy and city life, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Litow, an adjunct faculty member in the Sanford School of Public Policy, is a trustee and chair of the Academic Affairs Committee at the State University of New York. He previously served as deputy chancellor of schools for New York and as president of the IBM Foundation.
