Alumni Video Series Wins CASE Award

 February 17, 2021

The Sanford School video blog series “#WhyPublicPolicyMatters” has received a Silver award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The series features alumni of the Sanford School who are on the front lines of policymaking during the pandemic. The first episode was posted on April 8, just three weeks after the team at the school started working remotely due to the pandemic. The alumni share their stories of how their work is being affected by the pandemic and how they used the skills learned at the school to meet these challenges. There are 20 videos in the series to date.

The series is produced by the school’s Development and Alumni Relations Office by Susan George James, Samantha Fiske and Bevan Somers.

This 2021 CASE District III Institutional award recognizes the best in advancement across the Southeast region. The Silver Award for the series is in the category of Alumni Relations on a Shoestring.  It is one of two CASE District III awards received by Duke this year.
