I am truly grateful to be part of the Sanford School of Public Policy’s remarkable community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. We share a commitment to training the next generation of highly effective policy professionals and advancing policy research that makes a positive impact on the world. Together, we tackle the most challenging societal issues through our culture of collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
We empower our students to become the next generation of leaders and changemakers. We equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to confront the complex challenges of our era, preparing them to make a profound impact on a global scale. Our degree programs range from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees, with more than 400 graduate/professional students and more than 300 undergraduate majors in our school.
Our faculty, renowned for their policy-focused research, transform teaching and learning every day. Together with our passionate students, we amplify our impact and drive evidence-based policy decisions that shape our shared future. Sanford has almost 70 tenure-track, research professors, professors of the practice and lecturers; as well as many Duke faculty with secondary appointments in the school.
Our global network spans more than 10,000 alumni, with a dedication to advancing public policy, leading change in every sector of the economy, and making a positive difference in the world.
