Sandra Y. Nay McCourt

Sandra Nay McCourt defended her dissertation and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology in May 2014. Her mentor is Ken Dodge, director of the Center for Child and Family Policy. McCourt's research interests include the development of aggression and psychopathy as well as prevention and intervention programs and policies for family violence and child maltreatment. Her clinical work focuses on the assessment of cognitive abilities and learning difficulties in children and adolescents and evidence-based treatments for childhood psychiatric disorders. Prior to coming to Duke, she earned her law degree from the University of Michigan and practiced law in New York City.
