Aly is the Program Coordinator for the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy. An alum of the AGS Program, Aly received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University in 2015 in addition to a certificate in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a minor in History. She is an Intelligence Community Centers for Academic Excellence Scholar and a member of the Triangle Institute for Security Studies’ IC-CAE class of 2015. She has study abroad experience in Spain and South Africa and worked with the Public Affairs Officer in the Cape Town Consulate as a Virtual Student Foreign Service intern for the U.S. Department of State. Aly was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and is a dual citizen of the United States of America and Mexico.
