Sanford Professors Teach New Spring Breakthrough Courses

November 30, 2016

Three Sanford professors will teach in the first session of Spring Breakthrough next March.  The pilot program offers a five-day course over spring break.  Noah Pickus is examining music, history and politics through the hit musical “Hamilton.” In Free Beer and Other Forces That Get Us to Misbehave, Dan Ariely leads students in experiments in behavioral economics.  David Schanzer will guide students through the complexities of preventing violent extremism in America. The program is an initiative of Provost Sally Kornbluth, giving students “risk-free deep intellectual engagement” through classes with no grades, no pressure, just learning.
