Glenday, longtime professor at Sanford, DCID, retires

September 25, 2018

On Friday August 31st, Graham Glenday, professor of the practice of public policy, celebrated his retirement with Sanford colleagues, friends, and family. After 17 years of service to Duke, he will transition to Professor of the Practice Emeritus on September 1, 2018. In his new role, he will remain engaged with DCID and Sanford on specific projects and programs. He will relocate to Cape Town, South Africa.

Glenday was instrumental in bringing the Public Finance Group, originally based at Harvard, to DCID. Their arrival dramatically expanded the Center’s capacity to provide executive education, consulting services, and graduate education on public finance issues in emerging economies. His scholarly contributions to the field of international tax policy has drawn program applicants from all over the world. Glenday co-directed and taught in the International Taxation Program, a specialization in the MIDP degree. He also co-directed the Project Appraisal and Risk Management (PARM) executive education program and has taught in the other executive programs each summer since 2002.
