Addresses, Directions

The Sanford Building and Rubenstein Hall are located on Duke’s West Campus, on the corner of Towerview Road and Science Drive. The Law School and Fuqua School of Business are across the street on Science Drive, and Cameron Indoor Stadium is nearby on Towerview. The buildings are accessible and handicapped visitor parking is available.

Buses

Duke bus routes C-3 and PR1 stop near our buildings. Visit the Duke Transportation website for detailed information on bus routes to campus and on campus, provided by Duke, Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA), the free Bull City Connector and Triangle Transit.

Bikes

Bicycle racks are available at both entrances to the Sanford Building. For bike commuting routes from spots in Durham, please visit bikeduke.com -- a site that also offers tons of local biking resources.

Driving Directions

Visitor parking for our buildings is available in the Science Drive visitor lot and at Duke's Bryan Center parking lot and garage.

From the East (I-95, Raleigh, RDU Airport via I-40 West)

• If you are traveling on I-95, take I-40 West through Raleigh
• Continue on I-40 West toward Research Triangle Park
• Go north on Durham Freeway (Hwy 147)
• Exit on Chapel Hill St. (2nd exit after Durham Bulls Athletic Park)
• Turn right onto Chapel Hill St.
• Go straight as street changes name to Duke University Rd.
• Turn right on Towerview Rd. (2nd right after Chapel Dr.)
• Go through traffic circle and continue on Towerview to Science Dr.
• The Sanford Building is on your left

From the West and Southwest (Atlanta, Charlotte, Greensboro via I-40 East and I-85 North)

• Take I-85 North when I-40 and I-85 fork
• Take exit #172 for 147 South (also called the Durham Freeway)
• Take exit #16B for US15-501 South
• Exit at Morreene Road and go left
• After crossing Erwin Road, the road changes name and becomes Towerview Road
• Sanford Building is on right at intersection with Science Drive.

From the North (DC, Richmond via I-85 South)

• Take I-85 South into Durham
• Exit (on the right) onto 15-501 South
• Exit on Hwy 751 (Cameron Blvd.)
• Turn left onto Science Dr. (2nd traffic light)
• The Sanford School is on your right at the first intersection (Towerview Rd.)

From the South (Chapel Hill) via 15-501

• North on US 15-501 toward Durham
• Take the 15-501 bypass (not Business 15-501, and not Martin Luther King Parkway)
• Exit on Hwy 751 (Cameron Blvd.), turn right.
• Turn left on Science Dr.
• The Sanford School is on your right at the first intersection (Towerview Rd.)
